Scout Sunday, St. Marks UMC

A special time comes each year when the Scouts have the opportunity to conduct the worship services at St. Marks UMC, our charter organization. This is one of those times of the year when we can share our appreciation for all they do for us. Thank You St. Marks for ALL your support! Our troop has been Blessed many times over.

Twelve boys and Five adults enjoyed an exciting weekend of Camping. They also went Snowmobiling near our camp and Skiing, Tubing and Snowboarding at Shanty Creek Ski Resort. Schuss Mountain was everyone's favorite.

Webelos Campout at Camp Berry
with Feast & Court of Honor

Chilly temperatures and our first snow for the year did not curtail the fun and enthusiasm during our Webelos Campout. Troop 308 hosted 15 Webelos and their parents. Thanksgiving Dinner was prepared and around 60 people enjoyed an epicurean repast of monumental proportions on Saturday night. The evening’s activities were wrapped-up with a great campfire featuring skits and songs. The troop would not have been able to put on this weekend without the help of many adults and youth who pitched-in to make sure all was coordinated and prepared. The troop especially wants to thank Bob C. and Larry D. for their work in promoting the event to the various Cub Packs in our area.

Fri-Sun - Hueston Woods Campout

6 boys and 4 adults had a great time camping at Hueston Woods and attending the Miami University Football game. Saturday there was a Haunted Trail in the campground that we participated in. This was the highlight of the campout and all had a great time.
